The Rebbe has taught us, teenagers are affected and inspired by their peers- sometime more than from adults.  LGHS therefore supports three student run program toward this aim.  The goal is to foster as much student involvement as possible, with as many girls participating in and organizing the programs as possible.  This is done under the directorship of the Administration and the specific advisor for each program.  Here are the A, B, C’s of how we do it at LGHS.

Achos Hatimimim

Achos Hatimimim’s mission is to encourage students in their own personal, individual upward climb and development in Yiddishkeit & Chassidishkeit.  There are checklists to fill out concerning things like seder hayom of a Chossid, hachana for Chassidishe Yomim Tovim, and much more.  Participants earn ‘prizes’, and there is a raffle at the end of the year to join the national trip to Eretz Yisroel.

B’nos Chabad

B’nos Chabad’s mission is to foster an enthusiasm for learning Chassidus and following darchei hachassidim.  There are different themes for each month, programs, farbrengens, Shabbatons, and special activities to join.  B’nos Chabad creates an atmosphere of excitement in school.

Chassidishe Yomim Tovim

Chassidishe Yomim Tovim’s mission is to instill and knowledge, awareness, and chayus in our Chassidishe Yomim Tovim and their meaning.  Special hachana booklets and programs are prepared and the girls are encouraged to implement the learning.
