LGHS Diploma Requirements

Types of Diplomas Awarded:

  1. Standard: This is earned by a student who has a grade point average of 75%-89% at the time of graduation. She also needs to have fulfilled her other requirements.
  2. With Honors: This is earned by a student who has a grade point average of 90%-99% at the time of graduation. She also needs to have fulfilled her other requirements. 
  3. Individualized: In certain cases, the administration of LGHS may design an individualized program to meet a student’s specific academic needs. Students can earn an individualized diploma by having a grade point average of at least 75% of her specific requirements at the time of graduation. The student also needs to have fulfilled her other requirements.

Please note that there is only one joint Judaic and General Studies diploma issued.

Any student who has less than 75% GPA at the time of graduation is not eligible to receive a LGHS Diploma. She will be eligible to receive a “Certificate of Attendance” as long as her attendance record and participation in class warrant it.

Requirements for Earning a Diploma

  • Overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 75% or Above (See LGHS Grading System, above).
  • Fulfilling Conduct Requirements (LGHS Rules of Conduct, below).
  • Fulfilling Individual Class Requirements (See immediate below).
  • Passing each gemer test with at least a 60%

Individual Class Requirements:

A student must have passed each of the following classes, every year, with an average grade of 60% (D) or higher, in order to receive her diploma.
